Well, summer is in full swing and though we have had a few gorgeous days – long may the summer continue and we have that elusive ‘Indian summer’ of yesteryear!
We launched our summer menu and celebrated our second birthday recently too as well as winning the Buckinghamshire Restaurant of the Year 2009. Further details on the barbeque celebration will be announced shortly.
We have been celebrating local Formula One racing outfit, Red Bull Racing’s recent form of success in this year’s Championship. Magnificent achievements by the team and we’re proud to live in the same new city as them: Long may their good fortune continue and keep the world’s focus on Milton Keynes as a city to compete with the best.
We would also like to add our voice to the bid by Milton Keynes to become one of the host cities for England’s World Cup bid 2018.
Mark Webber Celebration Dinner
‘We are having a very special dinner on September 3rd – a Thursday (school night) – for Mark Webber. To celebrate his first win in F1: At the restaurant, The Plough Wavendon, with some awesome produce from Laverstoke Park Farm (Jody Scheckter’s place). A few F1 Champions, Biodynamic-led dinner and a fundraiser for Mark’s ‘Tasmania Challenge’. The ticket price is £130 per person inclusive of wine and the dress code is formal (black tie).

Brunch in the garden: We are serving brunch on Sundays here at the restaurant. Hopefully the weather will come to the party and you will be able to relax in our award-winning garden courtyard, mulling over the papers, and enjoying a hearty ‘Cape-style’ breakfast to set you up for a relaxing Sunday. Mondays: We are still closed on Mondays, to give our restaurant and staff time to relax, before the onset of another week. However, we have had a few private parties using our restaurant for work/celebrations. Please enquire with our General Manager, about the various options.
The planned cookery school and private dining facilities are taking a little longer than initially planned, however as a valued subscriber, you will hear about it in here first.
Christmas 2009
As a subscriber, we would like to give you a preview of the Christmas party menus for 2009. Please see the (here) for a guideline to the food on offer. Christmas Day has already seen a few bookings, so please reserve early to avoid disappointment.
